Yes! We are closed on weekends but you can rent equipment anytime and continue the rental over the weekend, or we have a weekend special where you can rent the equipment Friday afternoon and return it Monday morning for a one day rate, assuming there are not more than 8 hours of run time on the hour meter on that particular machine.

Rentals are on a first-come, first-served basis. The more heads up we have, the easier it is for us to ensure we have what you need, when you need it. Reservations however are not required and if the machine is available, you can rent it for anytime, including same day.
Just keep in touch with ERS and let us know if you run into any weather delays. We understand that’s out of a customer’s control, and we will work with you as best as possible around our scheduled rentals and accommodate extra time to get the job done as best as we can.
The damage waiver fee. This is an industry standard fee that covers wear and tear on equipment. This fee goes away if you carry insurance that covers specifically leased/rented equipment.
Each rental includes the same charges, fees and taxes. On your rental you will see the machines rental rate, a delivery and pickup charge if applicable, the three fees mentioned above (Damage Waiver, SMM and Environmental (Env) and applicable city tax.
‘SMM’ stands for Special Mobile Machinery, and is a state mandated fee that charges 2% of the rental rate on all equipment that is pulled, hauled or driven over a highway.
Some of our smaller pieces of equipment have either a 2-hour or 4-hour rate, otherwise we have daily, weekly or monthly rental rates.
The "Damage Waiver" is required on all rental equipment. This 12.9% damage waiver fee is an industry standard fee that covers normal wear and tear on the equipment. The fee can be waived if the customer provides to Equipment Rental Source a Certificate of Insurance from their insurer that names Equipment Rental Source as loss payee as well as shows coverage for "Leased/Rented Equipment" up to the value of the unit being rented. Even with the Damage Waiver, damage or loss caused by burglary, theft, conversion, misuse, abuse intentional or negligent damage or destruction, or similar causes remain your responsibility.
No. The equipment always comes full to the customer, and it is the customers' responsibility to fill up the equipment, or there is an $8.95/gallon charge on anything ERS refuels.
When the engine is running on a machine, the hour meter is counting.
We prorate the first 4 hours over (daily rate/ 8 = prorated amount). If the machine is over the 4 hours of overtime, another daily rate charge applies.
Many of our pieces of equipment have an hour meter to track usage. When the machine is on and running, the hour meter counts. Depending on the length of the rental, the machines are limited to a certain number of hours used. A standard rental period is as follows: 1 day: 8 hours 1 week: 40 hours 1 month: 160 hours

Yes, we offer a weekend rental special. You can have the equipment delivered Friday afternoon or pick it up before we close at 5 p.m. Keep it through the weekend, then return it Monday morning or have us pick it up between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. If the equipment is used for 8 hours or less, you are charged only the one-day rental rate.

Same day, sometimes even the same hour!
Yes, as long as the equipment is called off during business hours, otherwise we will get it picked up first thing the next day.
You may bring your own trailer or use one of ours. We offer a wide range of trailers for hauling equipment; however, some larger items require heavy-duty trailers that we do not rent. If you do not have a suitable trailer, we offer delivery and pickup for those rentals.
The smaller equipment and some smaller lawn and garden equipment can fit in the back of most trucks. If need be, we do rent ramps to help get equipment in and out of truck beds.
Yes, we have a range of trailers including utility trailers, car haulers, dump trailers, water trailers and lighter duty flat beds.
We list all machine make and models as well as machine specifications such as weight, width, length, etc., on our website. You are always welcome to call with the specifics of your trailer and we will let you know if that trailer is adequate for the piece of equipment you’re wanting to haul.
We list all machine make and models as well as machine specifications such as weight, width, length, etc., on our website. You are always welcome to call with your type of vehicle and we will let you know if it is adequate for the piece of equipment you’re wanting to haul.
If the trailer has electronic brakes, you will need an in-cab trailer break controller. A trailer brake controller is a piece of electronic equipment inside the truck that will send current to the trailer to activate the electronic trailer brakes. If the trailer is equipped with surge brakes, they are hydraulic brakes that are activated by the hitch. When you slow down, it compresses hydraulic fluid to the brakes, slowing the trailer down. No trailer brake controller required for surge brakes.
Every rental! We pride ourselves on new, well-maintained equipment. We wash and service the equipment and take each piece through a documented check-in process before each rental.
Call us! If there are any issues, call us and we will do what we need to do to rectify the situation as quickly as possible.
Yes. You are welcome to come with a truck or trailer to switch or pickup other attachments or we can delivery attachments to you at any time during the rental.
There are plenty of bigger pieces of equipment that can potentially leave a footprint, whether on concrete, asphalt, or sod. We do rent 8’ x 4’ ground mats that are intended to help with just that! They can hold enough weight to cover even our heaviest piece of equipment at 20,000lbs! Just ask us for pricing.
Similar to sod, if the machine is heavy enough, there is the potential that the machine could damage concrete. For that, we also recommend the 8’ x 4’ ground mats to help minimize the risk to the concrete.
Many of our pieces of equipment can fit through a standard size gate opening. However, there are many pieces that are wider than a standard backyard gate. Dimensions of the pieces of equipment are listed on our website and you can always call us for exact measurements on the equipment to be able to determine if the machine will work for you.
There are many of our pieces of equipment that can be operated on hills. We also have equipment that have tracks versus tires that assist with operation on slopes. Steep hills do come with the added threat of machines tipping if not used properly. Consult with an ERS representative for any questions related to slope. If appropriate, an ERS representative would be able to come out and do a site survey to ensure the site is safe for the use of specific equipment.
Many pieces of equipment will run fine in mud but you do run the risk of heavier equipment sinking or getting stuck in the mud. All terrain is different so there is no rule saying you can’t operate the equipment in mud.
Usage always ranges as the machines throttle can be turned up or down which changes the amount of fuel it burns. Most of the time the skid steers burn 2-3 gallons per hour with an average tank size of 25 gallons.
Most of our smaller pieces of equipment can be hauled with an F-150 size vehicle. Our website lists the weight of most of our equipment so you can verify if the machine weighs less than your vehicles towing capacity.
All of our rates are posted online. When booking online, the fees and taxes are calculated to get you a final rental cost. You can also call and we would be happy to put a quote together to get you out the door pricing on any rental.
Yes. We have an after hours line that you can text or call in case of an issue. That phone number is (720) 216-3620. We will then have one of our team members get back to you as quickly as possible.
It depends what you’re doing. We have augers to make fast work of digging holes, trencher attachments or tiller attachments that make fast work of your time in the dirt. There are different machines for different applications that will help make quick work of your task. Just call today and we can give you recommendations based on what you’re needing to accomplish.
This will depend on the terrain you’re working on. Tracks are good on hills and slopes and can overall cause less damage to the jobsite as the weight is more evenly distributed across the machine with the tracks. Rubber tire skid steers work great in most applications. Feel free to call us and an ERS member can tell you their recommendations depending on your terrain.
It depends what you need to accomplish. A skid steer has a loader style bucket on the front to help with moving larger loads of material around. A mini-excavator is best for digging as it has a digging arm on the front of the machine along with a push blade that help fill holes back in after digging (if necessary).
We have multiple different options to help you xeriscape, however it depends on what you are trying to accomplish. The Toro Dingo and Skid Steers are ideal for moving material around, like rock. If you have to cut up old sod we have sod cutters that make quick work of removing sod to prep for rock. If you need to till the soil before xeriscaping, we have multiple different tiller options depending on the size area you have to till. We have a wide range of equipment that can help you get any xeriscaping job done. Just call and tell us all that you need to accomplish and we can recommend the appropriate pieces of equipment to help.
Yes. All of our equipment is designed with elevation in mind. If the job required work at higher elevations (over 8000’) contact an ERS representative to discuss turbocharged options.
The soil, especially here in Douglas County can be very challenging. We have larger size skid steers and mini-excavators available for areas that have harder soil to dig.
Yes! We have multiple pieces that have the versatility to complete multiple jobs. The most common are our Toro Dingo’s or skid steers. These machines can do tasks from using a bucket to move landscape material, a fork attachment to move heavier material like large rocks or items on pallets, augers for digging different size holes, a trencher or tiller attachment to make quick work of time spent in the dirt or even breaker/hammer attachments for both units. The skid steer also has a mower deck or sweeper attachment available.
We offer multiple different auger options with different size diameter bits that are often the best means for digging fence posts. We carry 1-man and 2-man auger options with a variety of bits. Additionally, we offer attachments for Dingo’s and skid steers with bit sizes ranging from 6” - 30”.
Absolutely! Just call and tell us what you’re doing and job requirements, and we can give you recommendations as to what equipment could help you get your job done.
It all depends on your working height and what kind of area or terrain you’re working with. A variety of factors worth considering are slope, working height, reach required, etc. We have tow-behind lifts that you back up into place, set outriggers and can extend up to 35’ feet. If a tow- behind lift won’t work for your application, we have articulating boom lifts that can extend up to a maximum of 45’. Feel free to contact an ERS representative to ensure you are considering the proper unit for the job!
The maximum weight capacity on a standard basket for both our tow behind and regular articulating boom lifts are 500lbs.
Let us know what you’re doing and what you’re trying to accomplish and our staff will be happy to give our recommendations.
Most of our mini-excavators are too wide to fit through a standard gate. Our smallest mini-excavator can often fit as it has a retracted width of only 39”. The other mini-excavators range in width from 5’ – 8’.
Yes! As long as the equipment can fit through the gate. One thing to consider is the weight of the machine and the risk of damaging existing landscaping in the yard. We rent 8’ x 4’ ground mats to cover the area you’re working on that can help minimize the damage.
Most of the time this would be a skid steer (tire or track) or a Dingo, both of which have loader style buckets on them to hold landscape materials.
It depends on the size of the trench you need. We offer walk-behind trenchers that can dig up to 32 inches deep, as well as larger trencher attachments for skid steers that can reach a maximum depth of 4 feet. For wider or deeper trenches, a mini excavator with a 12-inch bucket may be a better option and can help complete the job more quickly.
Most people will use a skid steer for larger areas or a walk behind or ride on Dingo for smaller areas. Usually a smooth bucket will help scoop material and then use the smooth edge of the bucket to level out the area.
It all depends on the size of the stump. Many people use a mini- excavator to dig around the stump to get it up or chain around the stump and pull it up if the stump is smaller in size. We also have a stump grinder if you’re just needing to grind a stump down to ground level or up to 18” below ground level.
For larger driveways, most people use a skid steer with a smooth bucket. For smaller areas, a walk-behind or ride-on Dingo with a smooth bucket is usually a good choice. Use the bucket to spread the material, then use its smooth edge to level the driveway. Many customers finish with a compactor rental.
A Toro Dingo is a versatile machine with several attachment options. Its compact 41-inch width makes it a great choice for tight spaces and allows it to fit through most standard fence gates. We offer attachments such as forks, augers, trenchers, tillers, and breakers, so one machine can handle a variety of jobs.
We have a range of sizes of mini-excavators that can dig anywhere from 7’ – 15’.
We offer a variety of skid steers, ranging from 6500 lbs. to 9000lbs., and offer both rubber tire and track skid options. You can tell us what you’re needing to accomplish and the type of terrain you’re working on and we can suggest one of the skid steers we think would work best for you.
We have many different attachments available for our skid steers. All rentals come with either a smooth or tooth bucket. We also have 48” fork attachments, auger attachments with a variety of bit sizes, trencher attachments, tiller attachments, breaker attachments, sweeper attachments or mower deck attachments. We are always adding new pieces to our fleet so if you’re looking for something not mentioned, let us know and we will see if we can find it for you.
We currently carry two boom lift options. An articulating boom lift that you can operate from the basket or from the ground or a tow behind lift that has outriggers on it for stabilization prior to hoisting yourself into the air. You can always let us know what you’re doing and we will give you our recommendation as to which unit may work best for you.
We have a range in sizes from a smaller 4000lb mini-excavator that can dig down up to 6 feet or as big of a mini-excavator as 20,000lbs that can dig down almost 15 feet. Additionally, we offer most excavators with a thumb for assisting with picking up any material that you may have.
A skid steer has a larger loader type bucket on the front of the machine for moving material like dirt and landscape materials. Mini-Excavators have the digging arm on the machine that is meant for digging holes down into the ground.
Yes, we will make sure you are comfortable using the equipment before you leave ERS or before we leave the jobsite if the equipment is delivered.
Yes! Additionally, each rental unit comes with an operators manual for customer reference. Please feel free to ask any questions, we are happy to help.
Yes, we will go over the complete operation of the equipment and make sure you are comfortable with the operation.
If you are picking up the equipment, you will want to bring the appropriate size hitch for the trailer if appliable and straps, or chains and binders to safely haul the equipment. We also have those items for rental or sale if you do not have your own. As far as any additional safety equipment, we recommend aerial harnesses for all aerial lifts rented, which we have for purchase if you do not have your own. We also carry some protective eyewear, ear plugs and gloves for purchase.
Call us! We will do all we can to rectify the situation over the phone but will make the necessary steps to get you back up and running as quickly as possible.
No. Most of the items that would require a CDL driver are delivered on a heavy duty trailer. If you have a trailer that can haul that size equipment, chances are you do already have a CDL.
The damage waiver fee covers normal wear and tear on the equipment. This covers things like normal wear on blades, teeth, bits, etc. during the rental. Another example could be if you rent a piece of equipment that has hydraulic lines and one of the lines blow from wear and not due to any customer negligence, then ERS will come out and get you back up and running as quick as possible at no additional cost to the customer.
All customer damage is customer responsibility. We take before and after pictures of the equipment and if there are any parts that need to be fixed/replaced additional costs will apply.
We go to great lengths to ensure our equipment is in excellent condition for each rental, including tires. If any damage is done to a tire while in the possession of the renter, the renter is responsible for the repair. If necessary, Equipment Rental Source will come out and fix the tire for an additional charge plus the cost of repair.
ERS always cleans the equipment after each rental. If there is an excessive amount of cleaning that needs to be done on the equipment, i.e. tracks packed with mud or dried asphalt on machine, those types of situations would require a lengthy cleaning process which would result in a cleaning fee.
Yes, it comes full to you and ERS charges $8.95 per gallon if the machine is returned anything short of full.
